Learning Objective: You will know how to interpret a primary source document, exploring multiple layers of analysis by situating the document within a proper historical context and engaging your analysis in a conversation with other scholar's historical thinking.

Analyze primary sources.
Try to understand the context in which the primary sources were created.
Look at various ways in which the sources have been intepreted to show the complexities of historical events.
Look at some secondary sources that relate to the primary sources.
