BRITISH COLONIAL DEVELOPMENT IN AFRICA

In 1885, European nation divided African among themselves as a mother will share a loaf of bread among his children. This was at a conference in Berlin. Then, was the official beginning of colonization in Africa. Though, the Europeans claimed their mission to Africa was to civilize the "primitive" and "backward" people, their goal was to exploit the resources of Africa for their own benefits. Begining from this period, Africa has never left the grips of the West. This exhibit is the story of colonization, exploitation, neocolonization and poverty.
